Criminal Investigation Division

The Kingsport Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division encompasses the traditional investigations of crimes against persons and property crimes as well as the specialized investigations of vice and narcotics related crimes.  The C.I.D. Commander manages four supervisors and over a dozen detectives who collectively investigate all major crimes reported to K.P.D.  Detectives utilize conventional methods, state of the art technology, and good old fashioned police work to process crime scenes, identify perpetrators, and bring criminals to justice.
