Welcome to the web site of the City of Kingsport, Tennessee Police Department. We are pleased to be of service to the public and other visitors through the vast world of Internet Communications. The Kingsport Police Department is a full service law enforcement agency providing police field services twenty-four (24) hours a day. The department is authorized 118 sworn police officer positions, and a civilian support staff of 40 full-time members and 15-part-time for a total of 183 members. Included in the support staff is the city's E-911 Central Dispatch Emergency Communication Center which provides call taking and dispatch service for police, fire and EMS needs, and after-hour utility emergencies.
